My husband and I have stayed at Europa on 6 occasions, mostly hotel and parking. the other occasions were taking family to airport and picking up family from the US. We have had most relaxing stays and staff are really helpful. |

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are very dirty and the furnishings are very old and tattered. We had to change rooms three times before we were given a room which was clean enough to sleep in. The staff are very unhelpful and the food and drink prices are so expensive we ordered for pizza to be delivered! |

appalling hotel gave a complete stranger our room key (whilst we were sleeping)without even checking who they were then the on duty manager had the nerve to laugh and offer us a drink! it took months of constant writing to get an apology and even longer to get our money back. DON'T GO THERE. |

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Decor, rooms, service everything were awful. Infrequent bus service both ways. Do not stay here! |

Now the Felbridge Hotel. More than 8 miles from North terminal. We had to catch a taxi to and from the airport costing £23. Buses were full going and meant a wait of 45 minutes returning. Pay more and stay nearer. Not a good buy |

Hotel staff very pleasant especially warm towards children. However, room was very warm and my daughter used the bed as a trampoline. Very springy beds. An uncomfortable nights sleep purely due the heat and very soft bed. Shuttle to the South terminal was good. The driver gave me his mobile number and arrived within 10 minutes of me calling him. Hotel food and bar very expensive - BEWARE! With two children and our drinks we paid £117 for food, drinks and breakfast. |

My wife and I stayed at the hotel on Monday night for a Tuesday departure from the airport.
We were very disappointed due to the heat in the room and the corridors. It felt like mre than 80'F.We could not alter the air conditioning which kept waking us up because of the high temperatures. We had an extremely poor nights sleep.
We were told that there was a problem with the heating. |

Our room was a "cupboard under the stairs". To use the bathroom sink meant opening the bathroom door - and we're fairly slender people! The bed was overhung by a wooden TV stand - far from comfortable, and the bed was already enclosed on 3 sides, so climbing in and out to visit the bathroom guaranteed no one got a good night's sleep. We even heard the people next door when they got up as the walls seemed to be of nothing more substantial than hardboard!. And to cap it all, my boyfriend's car was damaged and now they won't return his calls - Definitely would never consider giveing them any further business. |

On the night we stayed, the hotel staff were friendly and courteous. Our room was adequate, and indeed close to the runway (it is an airport hotel afterall), and despite being a little musty, was perfectly sufficient. The car parking process was simple, and my car was returned in the condition it was left. Overall, one can't expect a hotel that charges £59 for a double room and two week's parking to be the Ritz (the next cheapest parking alone would have been £56). Unsurprisingly, breakfast and transfers were additional, but that came as no surprise. I would not hesitate to stay there again. |

A party of 12 of us stayed at this hotel on Friday 4 February 2006. We had 6 double rooms (21 - 26) and all were very acceptable with nice decor, bright and clean. The bar may be it bit pricey but hotels tend to be more expensive than the local pub. Car parking was easy, as was the bus to and from the airport. Would stay again. |

My friend stayed at the Russ Hill Hotel on two nights this month, one night going out on holiday and one night coming home.
we found that the hotel was fine and every thing was clean and the staff very helpful .The only moan we had was that the room was a bit on the cold side, and the menue was a bit misleading in the restaurant.
These people who have written such bad reports must have gone to a very different hotel than my friend and I went to.
We found that not having porterage for pensioners with suitcases a disadvantage and for that reason alone we might not stay there again. We did find it difficult getting on and off the bus with our suitcases, so would be more inclined to find a hotel nearer the airport. |

A Nice Hotel, Good food,Front of house nicely decorated but rooms in need of tlc.Anybody staying here should note the bus to Airport is not courtesy but cost us as a family of 4 ,£16 transfer fees both ways, when we were lead to believe it was a free service for people staying and parking here. |

Value for money was very good. Room very clean, but the decor is admittedly `tired`. Restaurant very good indeed - meal first class (and we have stayed at many good hotels over the years). Decor in the carvery and main restaurant very good.
Car parking now fine - no issues whatsoever.
We did speak to others who were staying at the hotel, and they were also very satisfied. |

Staff were helpful, friendly and polite but the hotel looks in need of cleaning and a complete refurbishment. The foyer is also a smoking area which is unpleasant for non-smokers and the smell of ciggarettes was strong even in the no smoking rooms. |

Our chief complaint was that there was a small opening in the window of the room, very little air flow or ventilation and no fan provided. This made for an extremely uncomfortable stay. The hotel is quite convenient, clean, quaint, but the restaurant prices are not necessarily indicitive of the quality of the food. |

Read varing reviews on this hotel and decided to give it the benfit of the doubt. We weished we hadn't. The room was grim. The chair was falling apart. Three sides of the bed touched a wall. The bathroom looked liked it had been crammed into a small closet. The carpet was threadbare in places and the room smelt stale and dirty. The sheets were clean though but the bed very uncomfortable. The bar is very expensive, food is dismall and the staff for the car parking are far from friendly. If you have a late arrival back the courtesy couch only goes once an hour. I'd rather the pay the extra few quid next time for somewhere better. |

I would not recommend this hotel if you are considering it as a park & transfer venue. We used it for exactly that in June. The chaos that followed resulted in our missing our flight. The bus arrived 45 minutes later than scheduled, no one at the hotel could explain or help. There appeared to be no workable procedures in place. A TOTAL SHAMBLES!!!!!!! |

Very disappointing! In the restaurant,22nd of January, we were sitting beside a gentleman who ordered a veg lasagna but given a meat lasagna instead. The gentleman refused but the girl who was serving insisted that the gentleman try the meat lasagna even placing it in front of the the gentleman! Talk about customer service. Cars for picked up are parked on the very end, a muddy dirt road when you think that vehicles for pick up should be at the front atleast!
NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! |

This may be an inexpensive hotel, but it was not worth the money we paid. It was an awful experience and we only put up with it because we had just had an 11 hour flight.
The room was very small, the furniture old and tired and generally dirty. The bathroom light did not work. This was eventually replaced by a man who stood in the bath wearing dirty boots.I had to clean the bath, as there were hairs from the previous occupant. The shower did not work.
The bar opened very late, but I must say the food in the bar was very good.
There is no lift so large suitcases are a nightmare. The bus is very crowded and some people were left behind.
A place to be avoided. |

On arrival, we were told that there was a function in the hotel which meant we could not go through the main hall to our rooms. This meant dragging our holiday cases up one flight of stairs, walking the length of the hotel and then dragging our cases down another flight of stairs. We were not made aware of an elevator service and there was no porter service so we had no choice. While this was very tiring, it was most annoying to later find out that the 'function' did not begin for another 2 hours and none of the guests had yet arrived. However, this was only the beginning of a bad night.
Went to bed at 10pm as we had to rise again at 3:30 to catch the shuttle bus to the airport. As soon as the lights went out, the music started. It was a constant 'BOOM, BOOM' which could not only be heard but could actually be felt, shaking the room. We tried to sleep but after 45 minutes of trying, found it impossible. I called reception to complain and was told that the music would be playing until 1am and there was nothing that could be done about it. We should have been told when we made our reservation that this was a function hotel and there would probably be a function that evening. The music eventually ceased about fifteen minutes past midnight which meant we managed to get approximately 3 hours sleep.
On return, boarded the bus along with my family and I and then, to our surprise, the driver started moving along the bus stand calling out for anyone who wanted to go anywhere else. Of course he charged all of these people a fare which was deposited straight into his own pocket with no ticket given to the customers. This continued for another 5 minutes and then finally, we were on our way. But not before making 5 stops at other hotels to drop off our 'other guests'. This made a 15 minute journey back to the hotel a 35 minute journey. Don't stay here, it may be cheap but you always end up paying in the end |

I stayed at the hotel to avoid travelling to Gatwick during the night. This was clearly a waste of time as I had NO sleep at all. The walls are paper thin and I may as well have been trying to sleep in a nightclub. Next time i ll just drive through the night, at least I ll get some sleep in a decent room! |

Old and quaint but very clean and the employees were all friendly and very helpful. Walking upstairs (no elevator) with a bulky bag is a little off-putting, but the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. I managed to get help with my bag when leaving. Excellent airport transportation. |

Staff very friendly and helpful though missing with english skills but eager to help in any nature. rooms where small but comfortable. We didnt have breakfast but couple we chat with in bar had stayed before and said it is good. We have nice indian curries and our friends at hotel had lamb chops and gammon steak which was excellent. Nice atmospher and worth to stay for overnight accomodation |
