HAVE CROWN, WILL TRAVEL

On Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee
An Infographic Of Her Journey

As we watched the royal procession twist down the Thames this weekend, we were again reminded that Queen Elizabeth II is a monarch on the move. In her 60-year reign, the Queen has travelled an estimated equivalent to 120 times around the circumference of the Earth making her the most travelled monarch the world has ever known. In honour of Her Majesty’s incredible achievement, we created an infographic that marks her 60 years of moving with the times.

*The Queen’s total distance travelled – 3 million miles is estimated using her total overseas state visits multiplied by an average distance from London to the capital of each country she has visited during her reign, and doubled to account for return journeys and Her Majesty’s extensive travel within Great Britian.
