Need help choosing a Gatwick car park?
Choose Online Essentials for the best choice of car parking at Gatwick airport. We help you to compare prices at 14 different car parks. In order to select the car park that suits you best you need to consider a number of factors.
Parking Options: You can book 3 types of long term parking at Gatwick; on airport, off airport and meet & greet.
Off-airport parking (APH Gatwick, Airparks Gatwick(formerly BCP), Courtlands, Cophall Farm) At all of these Gatwick car parks you will be asked to leave you car at the reception office and one of the car park’s staff will park it for you in the secure compound. These car parks tend to offer a higher level of security than on-airport car parks. APH, BCP Parking and Courtlands all hold the Park Mark Award for security.
On-airport parking (Parking Express South, NCP Flightpath, Summer Special) At these car parks you will need to find your own space in the indicated area when you enter the car park. Transfer coaches operate from bus stops located throughout the car park. If you are travelling with your family or have a large amount of luggage it might be worth dropping off your luggage and passengers at the bus stop before parking, to avoid carrying your luggage. Please note we recommend that you write down the area in which your car is parked and the bus stop you use to make it easier to locate your car on return. Please note that the Summer Special car park operates in the same way as an off-airport car park and you will be required to leave your keys.
Meet and Greet (Meteor Meet & Greet, Cophall Farm Meet & Greet, ACE, Aardvark) This service is the quickest and easiest way to park as you simply drive straight to the terminal and don’t have any waiting around to catch a transfer coach. It does cost a little more than some of the other parking options but we think its well worth it.
Departure terminal: Gatwick airport has 2 terminals. The old South Terminal serves the majority of charter flights whilst the newer North Terminal is predominantly for British Airways Flights. It is important therefore to find out which terminal you are using in order to check the transfer time from the car park you select. Our car park information clearly states the transfer time to each terminal. Choose Parking Express for the closest car park to the South Terminal and NCP Flightpath for the closest car park to the North Terminal.
Your route to the airport: The roads around the airport are very busy particularly at peak times (7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm weekdays). We would advise that you allow extra time if you are planning to arrive at the airport during these times. Both Terminals are easily reached from the M23 Motorway which connects directly to the M25.
Minimum stays: An increasing number of car parks now charge a minimum of 3 days parking. For short durations of 1-3 days we would always suggest that you park in the long term car park nearest to the terminal.
Long Term Parking at Gatwick: Gatwick airport is very busy in the summer but tends to be much quieter in the winter months. It is therefore possible to secure some great long stay offers through Online Essentials.
