East Midlands Airparks car was scratched when i returned. Attendant said damage was already on the car when it arrived. they said they make a note and photograph any existing damage. photo produced looked nothing like the scratch. how come they didnt photograph the slight dent on my rear door that was already on the car when i arrived? no one can seem to explain why they only noted the scratch and not the dent that was far more noticable? anyway it comes as no surprise they have refused my claim. East Midlands Airparks Having just used Prestige Oarking at East Midlands Airport I am less than impressed. On my return the car was in a filthy condition with obvious signs of whoever drove it in my absence. Also the few sweets I had left had been eaten. Prestige Indoor Parking Amazingly, due to an "oversight" at this company with "Indoor Parking" in its title, my vehicle - the company now admits - was actually parked outside when I was away on holiday.

My initial clue to this was - on my return to the airport - finding a dated car parking exit voucher that had slipped down the side of my car seat for the nearby outdoor (and cheaper) medium stay car park run my the airport itself; also my vehicle's windscreen (washed when I drove to the airport) was covered in grime and grit so I could not see out.

I initially asked for an explanation in writing, and then by phone to the manager, who said someone would get back to me; no-one did. So after several weeks I took it up with BCP the booking agents, trading standards and the ACPO secure car parking scheme who certify the company's "indoor parking" - all these organisations were very helpful.

Following that, the company admitted that my vehicle had been "inadvertently" parked outside and I eventually got a full refund.

Mistakes can happen - though parking it outdoors does seem a very surprising mistake - but what will stop me using the company again is the very poor response to my initial complaints. If I hadn't taken things further, I would have been just fobbed off.

I suggest if you must use the company, at the very least make a note of your mileage and see the vehicle being parked inside. - Stephen Jenkinson 2006-04-17
Prestige Indoor Parking If a car park is described as "opposite the terminal" it would be reasonable to suppose it was opposite the terminal entrance. This car park is opposite theREAR of the terminal and a fairly lengthy walk is involved. (Drop your cases before parking)!!
When I arrived at the park the area in front of the relatively small hangar I found the area disorganised, with cars "abandoned" all over. No staff to assist on where to leave the car. Waited in a small queue for ages while male receptionist fumbled with entering details on a computer. No sign of transport to the terminal so walked with luggage to terminal, a long walk around the terminal building.
When picking up my car it was still outside the hangar. Was it ever in the hangar?? On my arrival this was packed with cars and frankly I doubt if it ever was.

On Airport Long Term Despite having prepaid for 5 days parking, then having validated the ticket on our return from Venice last Monday afternoon, the car park barrier refused to accept the validated ticket and we were denied exit. As nobody was available to sort out the mess, we were obliged to follow another car out otherwise we'd still be there. Please ensure that your systems work as advertised, and that you have proper backup in case they don't ! - K McGuinness 2006-03-30
East Midlands Airparks I thought this was vlaue for money UNTIL i relaised it was off site and the closerb on site car parks owned by the airport were cheaper and next to the terminal. Be careful who you book with. Book with the airport directly -  2006-03-02
Mid Term Airport Car Park 1 right next to the terminal and cheapest around if you book via the web site. -  2006-03-02
On Airport Long Term Cheaper than off site and regular bus pick ups. Really freindly staff and we get dropped off next to departures. Other buses are dropped off a distance away. -  2006-03-02
East Midlands Airparks Used them 4 times, they even extended my stay for an extra day for free when we were delayed.

East Midlands Airparks Long wait for return pick up. Bus not using same parking slot each time and hence orderly queue turned into stampede. No room left for some that arrived first!
No response to emailed complaint.
