Expenses
The usual maximum payout in respect of Medical Expenses is £2
million; however, cover with Online Essentials has been extended
to £5
million per insured to provide you with extra protection.
Please
note however this policy does not provide private health treatment
under the Medical Expenses section, unless specifically approved
by the emergency service.
Out-patient Treatment with Charge Care
International – If you are
travelling to Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal or Turkey and need
out-patient medical treatment please provide a copy of your certificate
to the doctor
and your treatment will be paid by Charge Care International.
You will be asked to complete a simple form and pay the appropriate policy
excess.

E111 - Reciprocal Health Agreement. If you are travelling to
a European Union country, you are strongly advised to obtain Form
E111 FREE from you local Post Office. This will entitle you
to benefit from the
reciprocal health arrangements that exist between European
Union countries. In the event of a medical claim having been reduced
by the use of Form
E111 the Excess under the Emergency Medical and Other Expenses
section will be reduced to Nil. Please note that you must get
the E111 form stamped
and signed by the post office or you will not be able to use
it.
MEDICARE - Medical Treatment in Australia. If you required medical
treatment in Australia you must enrol with MEDICARE. You
do not need to upon arrival but you must do so after the first occasion
you receive treatment.
In-patients treatment is then free at a public hospital.
If
you are admitted to hospital you or your representative
must contact MEDICALL and their
authority must be obtained in respect of any treatment not
available under MEDICARE before such treatment is provided.
Pre-Existing Conditions
Your state of health may affect the cover provided under
your Certificate. Please refer to the general exclusions
and conditions of cover and to the pre-existing medical
conditions within the Policy Wording.
