Policy Types

The Online Essentials Travel Insurance Policy provides a choice of cover;

Single Trip Travel Insurance

There are three options each including £5 million of medical expenses cover:

Budget Cover – Budget travel insurance does NOT include cover for the cancellation of your holiday. If you are booking a last minute holiday or are using an apartment or villa owned by a friend then this policy could be right for you.

Standard Cover – Out most popular travel insurance policy: This provides you with cancellation cover up to a maximum of £3,000 per person.

Premium Cover – If you have booked an expensive holiday costing more then £3,000 you can upgrade to Premium travel insurance cover to obtain cancellation cover of up to £5,000 per person.
Additionally you can choose from the following options to enhance your cover:

Baggage – You may find that your household insurance covers your personal belongings while you are on holiday. If not you can select our baggage option. This provides cover up to the value of £1,500 per person to cover your personal items if they are lost or stolen.

Winter Sports – If you plan to ski or snowboard on your holiday then you must select the winter sports option to ensure that you are fully covered for accidents and emergencies on the slopes.
Golf Cover – If you are planning on playing golf while you are away and are taking your clubs with you then this option provides you with the additional cover you need.

Annual or Multi Trip Travel Insurance

Similar to our Single Trip cover, our Annual or Multi Trip Travel Insurance cover includes three options each with £5 million of medical expenses cover:

Budget Cover – Budget annual travel insurance does NOT include cover for the cancellation of your holiday. Therefore, if you normally stay in your own accommodation when you travel, then this option maybe suitable for you.

Standard Cover – Our most popular annual travel insurance policy: This provides you with cancellation cover up to a maximum of £3,000 per person every time you travel.

Premium Cover – If you are likely to book an expensive holiday during the next 12 months, costing more then £3,000 per person you can upgrade to Premium travel insurance cover to obtain cancellation cover of up to £5,000 per person.
Additionally you can choose from the following options to enhance your cover:

Maximum length of stay – With our annual travel insurance policies you can also select how many days you are allowed to be away for. You can choose a policy allowing 21, 31 or 45 days. This is NOT the maximum amount of time you can be away for during the 12 months but the maximum length of any particular trip during the year.

Baggage Cover – You may find that your household insurance covered your personal belongings while you are on holiday. If not you can select our baggage option. This provides cover up to the value of £1500 per person to cover your personal items if they are lost or stolen every time you travel.

Golf Cover – If you are planning on playing golf in the next 12 months then it might be worth you taking out golf insurance option which provides you with additional cove for your clubs and green fee cancellations.

Geographical Limits - Definition of Europe
Europe – includes Republic of Ireland and Countries bordering the Mediterranean, Madeira, Commonwealth of Independent States (west of the Ural Mountains) and the Canary Islands.
