Any pursuit or activity where it is recognized there is an increased
risk of injury or accident or can be reasonably expected to aggravate
any existing infirmity are considered Hazardous Pursuits.
The following activities are examples of what are known as “Hazardous Pursuits” and
are not covered by this travel insurance activities are excluded from cover,
however cover may be extended in return for an additional premium.
What activities are not covered by the travel insurance policy?
Wintersports (unless premium is paid) , sailing outside european waters,
hunting on horseback, motor competitions, professional
sport, racing, American football, BMX riding,
boxing, cave
diving, ice hockey, judo,
karate, lacrosse,
paragliding (over land), polo, shooting/hunting including big
game hunting, weight lifting, flying - unless you are a fare
paying
passenger on a regular
scheduled airline or licensed charter aircraft, gliding, hang-gliding,
parachuting, high diving, riding a motorcycle
or moped over
125cc in engine capacity, motorcycling as a rider or passenger
on any motorcycle or moped under 125cc unless wearing a helmet,
mountaineering
rock climbing, pot holing
or caving.
Please contact us if you intend participating in a pursuit/activity
that is not listed above but could be deemed “hazardous”,
or if you feel in any doubt, to check that it may be covered.
